Digital community collections, or the development of digital collections based on materials owned by private individuals, is increasingly becoming part of the work of many archives. Whether you are a seasoned professional with experience digitizing collections or just beginning a digital project, community collections pose a number of challenges. Learn about the development of community collections, new approaches to user-uploaded materials through the development of My Upload software (funded by LYRASIS Catalyst grant), and how to create metadata for loaned items with little information.
