“I saw this Marine dressed up in dress blues, and I said I want to be just like him. And my mother says, oh no, no no.” Not only did Reggie Knight go on to become a Marine, he faithfully went on to serve 20-years.
Enlisting in 1954, it was near the end of the Korean conflict.
He had various jobs early on, including recruit training and administration, but then came Vietnam.
That’s when Reggie learned an important Marine Corps motto: “Marine first, technician second”.
