An evening departure of the 12313 Sealdah Rajdhani Express from Sealdah and its progress through Kolkata's suburbs. The Rajdhani negotiates the EMU-hub of Dum Dum junction at a sedate pace, and meets with the Mughal Sarai WAP4 hauled Bikaner Kolkata Rana Pratap Express. After Dum Dum, the Rajdhani swings westwards and crawls through the station of Dakshineshwar. As we cross the Ganga (technically the Hooghly River) across the Vivekananda Bridge, the Ghaziabad WAP7 starts its acceleration to around 90 kmph and we thunder out of the bridge and thunders past the smaller elevated stations of Bally Ghat and Bally Halt.
The highlight of the video for me however is the wonderful black labrador (1:17-1:26), strutting around Sealdah's platform 9B, with its leash in its mouth, quietly wagging its tail after completing a good day at work!
