Poison ivy rash is no fun, I grew up in a rural town loaded with poison ivy. The first time I got the rash I had an allergic response and broke out in an itchy rash all over my body, my doctor put me on a prescription steroid creme. This all natural cure works better than the prescription options because the prescription treatments fight the inflammation caused by allergens aka the oil from poison ivy. This all natural treatment relieves the itch and draws out the oil which is the cause of the rash.
What you'll need:
~1 tbsp Baking Soda ([ Ссылка ])
~1 tbsp Sea Salt ([ Ссылка ])
~1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar ([ Ссылка ])
a paper towel / cloth
Directions:
add the sea salt and baking soda, then add the apple cider vinegar. This will cause the solution to foam. Dip your paper towel in the solution and dab on your poison ivy making sure to fully coat the effected area.
Allow the solution to dry on the poison ivy, repeat as necessary.
This is a very safe alternative to steroids and over the counter cremes, use common sense, don't put this in your eyes.
Why should you avoid steroids?
If you use steroids to combat an irritant, you may develop increased sensitivity to the irritant and over time the steroids can lose their effectiveness. Steroids also have dangerous side effects whereas this remedy is completely safe, you probably have these items in your food pantry :)
