Andrew Chung, Lawrence Hurley, Andrea Januta, Jaimi Dowdell, Jackie Botts and their team found that the Supreme Court's continual refinement of an obscure doctrine called ‘Qualified Immunity’ provides legal protections for officers accused of violence and prevents many families from holding individual officers accountable in court.
