#VideoStory about Ukrainians who were able to purchase their own homes thanks to the Ukrainian-German mortgage program. The "Housing for Internally Displaced Persons" program is jointly implemented by the State Youth Housing and the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine with financial support from the Government of Germany, which provided a grant of 25.5 million euros through the KfW Development Bank.
The project "Housing for Internally Displaced Persons" started in July 2021 but was suspended after the full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In early August 2023, for the first time since the introduction of the martial law by the President of Ukraine, the State Youth Housing has resumed the regular selection process for the program.
In the video, we tell the stories of IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) who had to flee their native homes back in 2014. Today, thanks to the active "Housing for Internally Displaced Persons" program, these resettlers become residents of Kyiv and have the opportunity to bring back home and coziness into their lives.
