Dimitrovgrad is a city in South Bulgaria , Haskovo in proximity ( 16 km ) to the town of Haskovo . It is the administrative center of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad, regional trade, industrial and transport center.

Located in the Thracian plain along the Maritsa River. The census of 2011 estimated the city's population of 38,015 people.
