Tod Man Pla - Thai Fish Cakes (serves 2-4) | Blue Elephant - Royal Thai Cuisine
The delicious Thai fish cakes, that you can find everywhere in Thailand, are known as Tod Man Pla. Nicely seasoned with Blue Elephant red curry paste and kaffir lime leaves, this sticky fish dough is deep fried to create those tasty golden bites.
Traditionally those fish cakes are served with pickled cucumbers and sweet chili sauce !
Usually made with endemic fish species such as chatlalat or catfish, we have adapted this recipe to be easy to make with any white fish fillets. So make the dough more rich and sticky, do not hesitate to blend in some squid or prawns with the fish !
This recipe serves 4 starters or 2 main courses with a side of salad.
