EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
This incredible MGF is finished in stunning factory Tahiti Blue, (Code JRJ), and boasts a bright shine from garaged storage and a very low 15,337 miles covered. The original paintwork is in beautiful preserved order and the factory panels are undamaged. A small mark above the petrol cap and tiny ding to the driver’s door are the only notable imperfections. All trim, light clusters and badges are pristine and the unique Freestyle bodykit and spoilers are as new. The original woven acrylic fabric hood and plastic screen are fully intact and in excellent condition. The rear tonneau and optional wind deflector are present and immaculate and the supplying main dealer number plates are still fitted. This example will satisfy the most fastidious fanatic and is one of the best surviving examples ready for enjoyment and a good home.
INTERIOR
Standard fitment on the Freestyle Special Edition is the full Black leather, (Code PUU), which in this cossetted low mileage example is unwon. The cut pile carpets have tailored velour mats covering them and all other trim sections and door cards are pristine. All functions and control work perfectly including the original MG branded CD player. Both front and rear luggage areas are surprisingly spacious and spotless with the front housing the original Goodyear spare wheel and jack and even shows all factory PDI paint dabs! Show quality in every respect.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The four-cylinder 1796cc engine produces 120bhp at 5500rpm and 165Nm torque at 3000rpm enabling a top speed of 120mph and 0-60 in just 8.5 seconds. The mid-mounted engine and rear wheel drive configuration processes all the correct sports car credentials to ensure optimum driver delight. Regular servicing is supported by a fully stamped service book including the required a cam belt and water pump changes to ensure impeccable engine running and performance. The short throw sports ratio five speed gearbox completes the package.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique LE 16” multi-spoke alloy wheels are immaculate and shod in Matching Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres of size 215/40 ZR16 as per factory fitment. Ventilated front discs and solid rear discs offer positive stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 22 November 2001 by MG Rover Main Dealer, Beadles (Gillingham Ltd), this desirable and rare Freestyle Special Edition has covered just 15,337 miles from new. All handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale literature is in the MG leather folder along with the service book displaying 14 stamped entries, the most recent in June 2019 at 15,185 miles. Two sets of MG keys and remotes with code tags and dealer fobs are present. Completing the history file is a comprehensive folder of previous MOT certificates and service invoices. To find an unmolested, preserved and cherished MGF is a challenge but a Special Edition Freestyle with just 15,337 miles is a rare occurrence!
