Newest Overlay, Internal & External Tire Temperature Distributions: [ Ссылка ]
Overlay of tire surface temperature and wheel loads at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
Tire temperature data gathered using Izze-Racing's 16-Channel Infrared Temperature Sensors; see website for details: [ Ссылка ]
A full-bridge strain gauge is attached to each JRZ damper and encapsulated with Resintech RT125. "Wheel load" data includes damping and spring forces ONLY, excludes antiroll bar, jacking, etc. forces. The output from the Wheatstone bridge is conditioned & measured using Izze-Racing's 24-Bit ADC-to-CAN amplifier, which also provides bridge excitation. See website for more details: [ Ссылка ]
CAN data from sensors is measured and processed using a MoTeC C-Series data acquisition system.
Stock AP1 Honda S2000 with JRZ dampers, 245 NT-01 tires, and Cobalt pads. No aero. No power steering.
Front: 0" toe, -2.2 degrees camber, 625 lb/in spring rate (WR = 320 lb/in)
Rear: 1/8" toe-in, -3.4 degrees camber, 550 lb/in spring rate (WR = 250 lb/in)
Note: The two localized cold zones on the inside of each tire coincide with the tire's radial grooves. The IR sensors are fixed to the chassis and are reading the front surface temperature of each tire; therefore, interpret the tire temperature data accordingly.
