The Honda CB500x is an entry-level adventure motorcycle that always seems to appear on lists of the best adventure bikes for beginners, but can this low cost, twin cylinder adventure motorcycle really hack it off road? Can you take the Honda CB500X off road into difficult conditions? In this video, we'll put the CB500X off road performance to the test on gravel roads, a muddy ATV trail, and through the rain and snow on a quest to determine just how well the Honda CB500 X does in the types of typical off road conditions that owners of a smaller displacement adventure bike are likely to get into.
This is not a full Honda CB500X off road review, rather this is an extended test ride and first impressions video where I take the bike through interesting terrain and see if it really has low quality performance to match its low price tag.
I'm pleased to report that the Honda CB500 X exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting greatness when taking the 500 X off road, but what I got was better than I thought even possible. Particularly impressive was the CB500X suspension, which was light years better than I thought it would be.
