November 11, 2023, Ahjamu Umi joins the show to his discuss critically important article which was published on March 9, 2023 in Hood Communist entitled “Beyond The Gender Binary: Challenging Binary Gender Roles Using Nkrumahism-Toureism-Cabralism.”
Ahjamu Umi is revolutionary organizer with the All African People's Revolutionary Party. Ahjamu has organized for the party in several countries on three continents and the Caribbean.
Ahjamu is also a senior labor organizer for one of the largest labor unions within the U.S. Ahjamu is also the author of three full length literary fiction novels as well as a published study on mass incarceration and the author of a Guide for Organizing Defense against White Supremacist, Patriarchal, and Fascist Violence.
Ahjamu as conducts regular workshops and trainings around political education and self-defense for oppressed communities. And Ahjamu has led and done bodyguard work to protect activists against violent white supremacist groups; as well as led efforts to “liberate” foreclosed properties for evicted and houseless peoples.
