Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls
This recipe is so easy and topped with garlic and parmesan cheese. It is soft and fluffy. A very good roll for your dinner and even for your breakfast.
Ingredients:
1/3 tsp salt
2.5 tbsp sugar
40 grams butter
¼ cup water
1 cup milk
1 large egg
7 grams instant dried yeast
2 ¼ cup bread flour
Filling:
½ cup softened butter
2 tbsp Italian parsley
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Steps:
1. In a microwavable bowl, combine sugar, salt, water, butter and milk. Heat in the microwave until butter is melted and the temp reaches 37 degrees Celsius.
2. In another big bowl, combine flour and yeast. Stir to combine well. Make a well in the middle and pour butter mixture. Stir and mix well. Lastly, add the egg and combine.
3. Transfer to a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 10 minutes until soft. Transfer to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, prepare the toppings. Combine garlic, parsley and butter. Stir well and set aside.
5. After 15 minutes resting, transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Roll into an elongated shape. Cut it into 12 equal parts. Knead each small dough into small balls. Roll out each ball and tie into a knot. Transfer it to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat the same process with the rest of the dough. Cover and let it rest for 45 minutes.
6. After 45 minutes, brush with garlic mixture and sprinkle it with parmesan cheese. Do not throw away the remaining mixture.
7. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Remove from the oven and brush again with the remaining garlic mixture. Serve while warm.
