Downtown Greenville has won numerous accolades and awards in recent years. It was recently ranked among the top 10 downtowns in the country. It was even named by The New York Times as a “national model of a pedestrian-friendly downtown.”
Truly the jewel of the city is the downtown - first of all, its beautiful tree-lined main street with plenty of terraced restaurants, pubs, and Falls Park with its stunning Reedy River Falls.
We visited Greenville, SC, in June 2021. As the first stop on the East Coast, we were lucky that Greenville is home to a traveling exhibition ‘Wings of the City’ by a Mexican contemporary artist with 9 symbolic winged sculptures. We were able to find some of them here as we went through the city center.
