As much as I told myself no... I couldn't resist buying another snare drum for my new kit!! Currently I own a 14x6.5 Single Top Edge Brass/American Standard Maple collectors snare drum. I absolutely love it, it's a beast of a snare, super heavy, warmth of wood yet the ear bleed crack of metal! But... as I said, I couldn't help myself and saw a 14x8 American Maple VLT Collectors series in the exact same finish as my kit. I watched the sale on Reverb for over a month without doing anything. I just watched it, then one day it showed up on my ebay and even in my FB. So finally I decided to write the seller and ask if there was any wiggle room on the price, he said no. I waited another couple of weeks and this time threw him an offer. To my surprise, he accepted the offer and here we are!

This video is just me literally taking the snare out of the box, setting it on a stand, mic'ing it up and going for it! I was just aiming to dial in the mix and the EQ for this snare drum. If requested, I can do a more in depth snare video for these two snare drums so just let me know.
