Drifta Stockton clear top bag first thoughts and review.
Are Drifta Stockton canvas bags any good? No, that is the short answer.
When I think of Drifta Camping and 4wd, I think awesome quality gear. The Drifta Stockton range of clear top bags is far from the best quality gear.
The bags are a Drifta Stockton clear top utility bag, measuring in at 285 mm long x 235 mm wide x 105 mm high. They use a large tooth no brand zip, this is a little clunky and not very smooth.
The canvas is a very light weight thin canvas. To counteract the sag, the base of the bag has a piece of marine carpet, this actually works really well to make the base more ridged.
The clear top is fairly light weight as well and incorporates a nylon handle stitched in to the plastic. This is where the cheap quality really starts to show. Being just a single flat piece of strap. Everything on the bag is just single stitched and unfortunately there is nothing exceptional to mention.
I’m not saying the Drifta Stockton clear top utility bag is bad, it’s just not great. the normal RRP is $29. At this current time you can buy a Drifta Australian made clear top canvas bag for around $40-$50.
The Drifta Aussie made canvas gear is much better quality and what I would recommend them over the Drifta Stockton range of canvas bags. Alternatively there are heaps of better built Australian made canvas bags around like Grab Me Gear, Red Roads co and so on.
