Synopsis:
In 19th-century France, a young girl from the provinces (Isabelle Huppert) goes to Paris, where she becomes a famous courtesan and the inspiration for the novel "La Dame aux camélias" by Alexandre Dumas fils (Fabrizio Bentivoglio).
