Whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River just downstream of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe (I incorrectly wrote Zambia on the title page). We went over 18 rapids with many being grade 5. There was one grade 6 rapid that we had to carry our rafts around. I'm in the right front of the oar raft with the guide wearing a purple life vest and orange helmet (the raft in the opening photo and the first raft in the video). I managed to stay in the raft until the last rapid called Oblivion - "which accounts for more carnage than any other rapid in the world". Everyone became a swimmer with the crocodiles on that one. I lost a water shoe on Oblivion so I had to walk up the steep gorge wearing one shoe.
