Nov 8, 2024
Due to the Gold Line being taken out of service east of the Cordova Town Cenyer Station due to construction crews needing to run test trains in Folsom to test the new tracks at Glenn, the Cordova Town Center Station will act as the last stop from Nov 8th - 10th and again the 15th - 17th. I decuded to get some trains running through the crossover switch track and crossing with inbound track island activations when the switch is used. Inwas going to get a video of the new version Glenn Dr crossing but that didn't work out as it seems testing is infrequent and mostly morning based. Have to wait till Glenn's & Historic Folsom section reopens in which SACRT still doens't know when yet so unfortunately it could be next month Dec 2024 or Jan 2025 which then would be a year since the project started. I saw the test train however leaving Folsom headed to park at the Sunrise Station. SACRT car CAF 213 was the first train car to use the new track and Glenn Dr crossing.
Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Gold Line arrive and depart the Cordova Town Center and Zinfandel Stations switching at the crossover and pass through the Zinfandel Drive railroad crossing in Rancho Cordova, California. This day, the Gold Line only ran 1 train as a old high floor and it was caught in this video and all other traisn were the new low floor Siemens S700's which I like to see.
