Testing: Newly repaired vintage amplifier., the Sansui AU-D907F
I got the Sansui AU-D907F on a bad condition. Scratches and corrosions everywhere on the faceplate and on the copper chassis. It doesn’t power on., good thing that everything looks complete and left untouched.
Huge heatsink with coolant, huge transformer and 8 giant capacitors are all original.
After spending 3 days on my technician friend, he finally got the beast running great.
Speakers used for testing is a pair of vintage 15” fullrange JBL D130 on
a Onken type speaker box. I don’t know the brand of the 2” fullrange speaker that I’ve used as a tweeter. I just installed one 2.1uf 250V bilolar capacitor on each 2” FR speaker.
Using a basic Windows 10 based computer running Spotify as source.
PC doesn’t have sound card or DAC. Using the onboard sound only from a Gigabyte motherboard.
I just used my iPhone 6 Plus for video&audio recording.
