The Municipality of Bataraza was declared as the Pineapple Capital of the Province of Palawan.
After it was declared, the municipality of Palawan celebrated the first Pineapple festival in 2019 wherein they proudly present their sweet pineapples and hole various activities.
This festival is held every July 15-18. The town has approximately 600 hectares of pineapple fields, the most was located in Barangay Bulalacao. The government expects more people to come to enjoy the festivity and boost their tourism industry.
