This is the Scorpion's Tail water slide at Noah's Ark Water Park in Wisconsin Dells WI, United States. Built in 2010, Scorpion's Tail was the second looping water slide in the US and the first to open to public. Action Park in New Jersey did have a looping slide for a very short period of time before it got removed due to severe accidents.
The layout of the ride is different from the modern-day AquaLoops - the initial drop is considerably taller and even after the looping itself, guests plunge down a steep open drop towards the shallow runout lane. When we rode Scorpion's Tail for the first time in 2017, it was really hurting your back, however, it got refurbished and is now comparably smooth which was a welcoming surprise. The ride could possibly be the tallest looping water slide currently existing.
Scorpion's Tail replaced one of the Point of No Return water slides which used to be a double attraction.
