Filmed from Pylon Two, this is the start and first lap of the Jet Class Silver race at the 2023 National Championship Air Races and Air Show, the final such event held at Reno Stead.

This was the last Jet Class race ever held at the Reno Air Races. The results were:

3rd: Bob McCormack, Race #55 “Spirit of Freedom” (L-29 Delfin)
4th: George Ryan, Race #61 “Miss Independence” (L-29 Delfin)
5th: Al “Cool Breeze” Hoover, Race #17 “Texas Fouga” (CM.170 Magister)
DQ: Mark E Davis, Race #555 “Phoenix” (L-39C Albatross)
