Dave and I took the dogs to explore Rainbow Falls State Park near Chehalis, WA. This park is on the Chehalis River, and has a campground some short trails, a low but pretty falls, and some really cool geology.
We checked out the park, and then went west, stopping at an interesting roadside historic point, South Bend, an overlook of Willapa Bay, and then across the longest truss bridge in North America to eat dinner in Astoria, Oregeon.
During this adventure we were on the traditional lands of the Chehalis, Cowlitz, Willapa, Chinook, Clatsop-Nehalem Confederated Tribes,
Kathlamet, and Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
