⬇️ tips for planning a Balkans road trip aka an epic European summer vacay! ⬇️

1. Download offline maps
You can’t rely on your cell service the whole way. I download offline maps in Google Maps when I’m traveling.

2. Rent a camper van from @balkancampers
Travel in funky VW vans & avoid putting up a tent every night! They also allow travel to every European country & some non EU (not all rentals allow this) & include the ‘green card’ for insurance (needed for some border crossings)

3. Plan for 2 weeks & avoid August
2 weeks is a good amount of time to get through a lot but still have enough time to actually explore the destinations. I’d just avoid visiting Europe in August generally- it’s the peak of the peak season.

4. Pack your snorkel gear
I have a list on my Amazon page (link in bio) if you need recommendations. Either way be ready for fun snorkeling & lots of beautiful beaches.

5. Have cash on you in local currency
Some areas are more cash based or have steep fees for using card.
