The new median strip signal is getting installed today at this crossing whilst going on my walk. from what I can gather, it most probably be a all new Western Cullen Hayes setup identical to the new Grubben Road crossing 2km North out of town.

Unfortunately the median signal made in 1984 which had Westinghouse brackets with old WC Hayes lights got knocked down yesterday by a stolen vehicle overnight, ARTC was notified and has cut power to that median signal until the new median signal is being made.

On 5th September 2020. The Level Crossing at Sladen Street in Henty, NSW received a major upgrade which inot only resurfaces the crossing track with new rails, sleepers, ballast and Ashpalt. But new Level Crossing gate signals.

The new crossing setup are all Western Cullen Hayes setup on both the Eastern side and the Western side, with WC Hayes 8 inch Flasher lights with WC Hayes brackets, LEDS, WC Hayes Gate mechanisms and WC Hayes E-Bells. the eastern Bell activates until the gates rise, where as the Western E-Bell activates until the gates lowered.

The only old equipment signal remain is the middle island signal which has WC Hayes Lights on a Westinghouse Bracket.

However, This now means The Harmon Gate mechanisms in NSW as of 5th September is now officially extinct.

I've also added the Before clip of the old setup that was installed in 1984 with the old Harmon Gates and lights with LEDs along with WC Hayes M-bells.
