Pope Francis has reiterated the Vatican's commitment to assist Timor-Leste in tackling issues related to education and poverty, as he met with government officials in Dili. The pontiff also spoke out against the abuse of youth in the country, calling for all parties to protect children. Timor-Leste is the third stop of the 87-year-old leader's historic Asia Pacific tour. This is the first papal trip to the country since 1989, when Timor-Leste was still under Indonesian rule. The Catholic Church had played a significant role in the country's path to freedom. Leong Wai Kit reports from Dili.
