The Caipiroska is a variant of the Brazilian cocktail Caipirinha where the cachaça is replaced by vodka hence its name with the Russian consonance. This Brazilian cocktail began having fame only in Latin America, but gradually its reputation has been spreading and nowadays can be tasted in any cocktail bar or shop thorough the world.
This recipe, also sometimes called Caipivodka, is also very popular in bars and clubs in Brazil. Caipiroska is a variant of one of the most popular cocktails in the world: Caipirinha. As we mentioned, unlike the traditional Brazilian version based on cachaça, The main alcohol used in Caiprioska is vodka whose aromatic properties are very different from cachaça.

The Caipiroska Recipe
The recipe for Caipiroska is very simple to make! Just grind diced lime to the bottom of an old fashioned glass, then pour vodka and simple sugar syrup. All you have to do is mix your Caipiroska cocktail well (always from top to bottom) with a long bar spoon, before decorating your glass and drinking the mixture.
Note: that if you want to drink your Caipiroska with straw, prefer-the biodegradable like these pasta straws.
Ingredients:
50 milliliters of Vodka
25 grams of sugar
½ Lime
Ice (diced or chopped)
Steps to follow to make this recipe:
1. To make this Caipiroska cocktail, the first step we have to do is take a short glass if possible, which is the one typically used to make this type of drinks, and introduce the sugar and half lime sliced into pieces.
2. We crush these ingredients well preferably with a wooden mortar so that the lime releases its juice and integrates with the sugar.
3. Then we add to the glass a few whole ices or enough crushed ice and then, the vodka.
4. With a spiral spoon we raise the files from the bottom of the glass and we integrate our caipiroska .
