Asif Ali talks to Vivek Ranjit about his latest release 'BTech' and how he has been involved in the film since its inception six years back. He also talks about how he finds himself refined and more confident as an actor now. He admits that he had made some bad choices in the beginning of his career and couldn't utilize the stardom he had gained back then. He says that people were reluctant to watch certain good films of his in theaters, because of the bad movies he had already done.
He says that he has been lucky to be a part of many superhits by doing guest roles in them, He also talks about how important it is for him to work with friends. He is one of the few actors who has shared screen space with almost every leading star in the industry and he talks about how he has bonded with them. He speaks about why he is uncomfortable branching out to other languages as of now. He proudly states that there are much more experimental ideas and concepts being pitched in Malayalam now. He also talks about his notorious habit of not picking up phone calls and how it has served as a filtering process.
