Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has clashed with political journalist Ava Santina in a heated discussion about biological men competing in women’s sports.
The issue has again come to light after the gold and silver medals in a women's race in the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships were won by two males identifying as women.
“No one writes about trans men winning against men because they don’t beat them,” Mr Morgan said.
“One of the reasons why trans people are getting a hard time is because of this ridiculous defence of the indefensible over the issue of trans athletes in women’s sport.
“It makes an absolute mockery of all trans people.”
