Welcome to a fascinating journey through the history of the German Empire in countryball format! Follow the adventures of a cute Germanic ball representing the mighty state that dominated Europe for over 40 years.
Let's start our story with the unification of Germany in 1871. For a long time, the German lands were fragmented into many small principalities, duchies and kingdoms, weakening the potential of the German people. But in the 19th century, things began to change - under the leadership of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, Prussia began the process of uniting the German states into a single entity.
The unfriendly Prussian balloon with tendrils shows perseverance and determination, easily subjugating neighboring rivals - Austria, Bavaria, Saxony and others. Soon under the auspices of Prussia there is a North German Union, which then transformed into the German Empire with the Emperor at its head.
On the coat of arms of the new power proudly painted double-headed eagle - a symbol of power and influence. Germany rapidly increases its economic and military power, becoming the most developed country in Europe by the end of the 19th century. Our little countryball enthusiastically watches the rapid growth of its power - now it can dictate terms to other countries.
During the reign of Emperor Wilhelm II, Germany becomes the world's leading power, competing with Great Britain for global dominance. The colonial empire expands, German ships and goods dominate world markets. Germany confidently declares its ambitions to become the "world gendarme" and the main power on the European continent.
However, these aspirations give rise to dangerous contradictions with other great powers - France, Russia and Great Britain. Growing international tensions eventually lead to World War I in 1914. Our countryball proudly puts on a military uniform and goes to the front, determined to defeat his enemies.
At first, Germany demonstrates military superiority, quickly conquering the territories of its enemies. But in the end, exhausted by a protracted war of attrition, the empire is defeated. The November Revolution of 1918 sweeps away the monarchy, and the Weimar Republic is proclaimed on its ruins.
