Honolua Bay is located just past Kapalua along Highway 30 which is also known as the Honoapiilani Highway. After all the resorts on West Maui the topography starts to change drastically and the Highway becomes much more windy and narrow. Honolua Bay is a beautiful and picturesque location on West Maui. It is a protected Bay which is very popular for snorkeling and it is common to see dolphins and Honu aka Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. It is also a very popular location for professional photographers to bring their clients due to the natural beauty that is easily accessible. During the winter months when the swell direction is right it is also a very popular surfing spot. The WSL/World Surf League hosts a Women's Championship Tour event in November each year. Honolua Bay is a special place.

Please stay on the trails and respect the land/aina around Honolua Bay. Remember to not leave any trash and if you see trash please pick it up. We can all do our small part to keep the island and the ocean clean. Parking for Honolua Bay is located along the highway. Please note that finding parking can be difficult. Be sure not to park illegally or to block the flow of traffic.
