국내 코로나19 총 확진자 602명, 사망 5명
South Korea has confirmed scores of additional cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of patients to 602 as of Sunday.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 46 new cases were added from earlier in the day.
The majority of cases are from the southeastern regions,... 117 in Daegu and 34 from Gyeongsang-do Province.
Authorities also reported a fifth death at Kyungpook National University Hospital in Daegu.
This is the first death in the city. The patient was a 56-year-old woman who passed away this Sunday afternoon while being treated in a hermetically-sealed facility.
Of the total cases, most of them are linked to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus,... a secretive religious group in the country.
This group held a press briefing one hour ago through Youtube,... saying that they are taking measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
It added that they have asked all of their believers to refrain from outdoor activities and have also had visitors to their Daegu church to self-quarantine.
With the spike in the number of confirmed patients,... the KCDC has urged people with symptoms to contact the national call center on 1339, to wear a mask and to use their own cars if possible when visiting designated medical centers.
