You are not supposed to use chopped strand mat with epoxy (Because the epxoy resin does not dissolve the styrene-soluble binder). However, you can use it for covering large flat areas (or even shape it around corners) using Epoxy resin.

The "right" solution here is to buy e-glass CSM with epoxy-soluble binders, but that costs more money.

You probably want to buy your CSM and Fiberglass cloth from Ebay or a fiberglass store.
