An enduring link between Tasmania and the mainland will be broken by November 2022 when the Spirit of Tasmania ferries will no longer dock at Port Melbourne.
TT-Line is abandoning Station Pier in favour of a new purpose-built port near Geelong.
It comes after accusations of price gouging at Port Melbourne and long delays for passengers.
