Around 9 p.m. on December 7, a man was riding a motorcycle while looking at his phone and crashed into a bridge guardrail. The rider attempted to grab the railing but failed and fell off the bridge. The incident occurred at the Jiubao Bridge in Hangzhou, where the rider was traveling on the non-motorized vehicle lane.
On December 10, staff from the Hangzhou Public Security Bureau confirmed that the man had unfortunately passed away. Several hours after the incident, his body was recovered from the water.
