Single frame time-lapse shot of the would-be moonrise of the totally eclipsed moon on 15 June 2011, taken from Ruemlang near Zurich in Switzerland. Tracked by a Vixen GP2 mount, the Canon EOS 40D was initially pointed to the precalculated position of the moon below the horizon (farm houses of Altwy). However, heavy cloud cover obstructed the view of the eclipsed moon. For brief moments only, the moon peers through openings in the clouds, once still during totality and twice during the partial phase of the eclipse.
