US President Joe Biden calls Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin a "war criminal" over his bloody invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
"I think he is a war criminal," Biden tells reporters after a commemoration event marking the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.
President Joe Biden has also announced the US will dramatically downgrade its trade status with Russia as punishment for its invasion of Ukraine and also ban imports of Russian seafood, alcohol and diamonds.
