Here's an all-time favorite classic rock of mine, "Just a Song Before I Go," a romantic ballad by Crosby, Stills and Nash. This song was written by Stephen Nash and it was the biggest hit of the band in 1977 and it still is up to this date. Nash wrote this song based on his true feelings at that time. With only a few moments left, then it was time for Nash to fly back home, his lover requested for him to write a song before taking him to the airport. With those feelings, Nash put them down on paper and they became the lyrics of the beautiful song "Just a Song Before I Go." And that's how the story was told.

I just can't imagine the sadness that these two lovers must have endured... or can I? I think I can. Saying goodbye is always sad, even when you know you'll be seeing each other again. Saying goodbye at the airport is even sadder because you know the distance... It has to be long and far to travel by air.

It's rather neat to think how us, the lovers, of today still can relate to the feelings of the love songs that were written yesteryears, or even generations before us. The world goes round and many things have changed, but I guess... love stories never change and they repeat themselves all over again and again, one generation to the next.

So to all the lucky love birds, if you are together at this very moment, in blood and flesh, then cherish each other, live for today, and seize every moment of it! :)
