In the Avatar comics after Aang saves Zuko from falling into the crevasse surrounding Yu Dao, Zuko collapses and is taken to Uncle Iroh’s tea shop to recover
Several days pass and Iroh comes outside to let Aang know that Zuko has finally woken up
Iroh thanks Aang for bringing his nephew in to see him, as Zuko being the stubborn boy he is, did not go to visit earlier
As they sit down for some tea, Zuko and Aang talk about the future of Yu Dao, how it will not become a colony tied to a single nation, but something more, setting the roots for other cities like Republic City in the legend of korra
They also talk about the dream that they shared where Roku reveals to Aang that Zuko is his great grandson, through his mother who Zuko also sees in the dream, crying
Iroh joins in the conversation and gives some advice saying sometimes dreams are a way to reveal the answer to your problems,
He then offers for them to try his famous new invention, bubble tea which Zuko and Aang do not react kindly to
Zuko takes his Uncle’s advice and when he returns to the Fire Nation, goes to the only source he has left for finding his mother’s whereabouts, his sister Azula who is brought in bound to a wheelchair and looking completely unhinged
This opens up another storyline where we find out what happened to their mother

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.
