As promised, in my recent Stormont Estate video, this is my wee walk/exploration/walk round of the inside foyer and corridors of the magnificent Stormont Parliament Buildings.
Surprisingly, while there is a lot of footage of the Stormont Estate on Youtube, very few if any, Youtubers, have filmed inside Stormont Parliament buildings! I find it very strange that my Youtube footage made August 2022, is almost unique. The only other, 'inside Stormont walk round;, footage, I found, was a Virtual Tour of Parliament Buildings, published by the Northern Ireland Assembly. This video is well worth watching.

This fine building ranks as number 2, after Belfast City Hall, in my FREE to enter, MUST SEE, Belfast visitor, list of attractions. Do not miss going on one of the free tours round the inside of this historic, beautiful, architecturally significant building. These wall have seen many political changes. The great and the good and the not so good have come and gone. Others will follow. If walls could talk!
Stormont Parliament Buildings
Parliament Buildings, ( Grade A Listed building ), often referred to as Stormont because of its location in the Stormont Estate area of Belfast, is the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly, the devolved legislature for the region. The purpose-built building, designed by Arnold Thornely, and constructed by Stewart & Partners, was opened by Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), in 1932.
I bleieve the cost was between £1.2 and 1.7 million back in 1932. It is anyone's guess how much it would cost today. £500million?
