This year marks Australia’s the most important period of national commemoration – the century of Anzac. On this day we honour all the men and women who have participated in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations around the world. And this year the century of Anzac continues by another important date in the world’s history – the 70 years since the end of the second World War. These days of commemoration are the great opportunities for families and communities in every city and town in Australia to come together to say “Thank you” to the veterans and to those who lost their lives in war.
