I am a private instrument pilot. While I am am legally current, I took my DPE's advise to fly with a CFI to stay current:

I did six approaches with two CFI's in two very different planes.

I shot 2 different instrument approaches with each plane. Approaching a total of four different airports while talking to Cincinnati and Columbus Approach.

With each plane, I shot 2 approaches into a nearby towered field and one approach back into the home field for the aircraft.

This is the second approach in the series shooting an RNAV (GPS) into Cincinnati Lunken (KLUK) in a G1000 equipped Cessna 172. I am specifically flying the approaches uses the autopilot. I will fly have the approaches in a complex Cessna 172RG entirely by hand.
