EZ Street licensee, Conzept AS, supplied asphalt to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for a test of EZ Street asphalt in harsh winter conditions. The road is FV332, about 3 kilometers outside Lillehammer. This is a side road to the E6 and is a popular road for cyclists and cross-country skiers who train on roller skis. The road is located in an area of Norway that has a wide range of weather. Everything from severe cold to rain and slush. The aim of this project is to see the product's resilience through cycles of freezing, thawing and plowing along part of the road with large cracks after previous frost blasting. The patch is 50 meters long, the full width of the road.
In addition, the EZ Street product used here is produced with 100% environmentally friendly hydrated vegetable oil. The project was carried out on September 20, 2019. We can't wait to see how EZ Street asphalt performs in a real Norwegian winter.
UPDATE: The test was successful. The EZ Street product worked as expected. The results indicate that comparable to other countries, repairs made with EZ Street cold asphalt can reduce costs by up to 50%.
