Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Cargo Smart D ring tie down anchor. This D ring adds and extra anchor point for your trailer or truck or van. It's a simple bolt on installation, mounting hardware not included but it will accept quarter inch diameter hardware. It's made from a durable steel construction with protective finishing to keep it safe from rusting and corrosion. A few measurements I want to mention for you real quick. I did take a measurement of the usable space side to side at the widest point, inside edge to inside edge.
Got a measurement of about 1-1/16 of an inch. From the top of the bracket to the bottom of the D ring going up and down inside edge to inside edge gave us a measurement of about 1-3/16 of an inch.The D ring diameter is a quarter inch. This right here is our mounting bracket. It's got two mount holes on it. Mount holes are separated on center by 1-3/8 inches.
The bracket measures about 2-1/8 by about 3/4 of an inch. The unit features a safe working load limit of 800 pounds with a maximum load or break strength of 2,400 pounds. Just keep in mind that tie down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit.
