Oregon Beer Awards hall of fame recognizes important members who have positively impacted and changed the Oregon beer community for the member. At the 2022 OBA's three such legendary icons of the industry were recognized.
Teri Fahrendorf was one of the first female brewmasters and has become a lifelong advocate for women in the beer industry. She founded the Pink Boots Society and continues to be a leader in the community even after officially retiring this year.
Art Larrance founded the legendary Portland Brewing Co., and later the nations largest brewfest the Oregon Brewers Festival. He didn't stop there, also founding Cascade Brewing and becoming one of the pioneers of American Sour Ale.
Alan Sprints was a homebrewer and chef before turning to professional brewing. He founded Portland's Hair of the Dog Brewing and became an influential leader in strong, vintage, and barrel--aged beers that pushed the industry and creativity forward. He announced his retirement to come in summer 2022.
