STORY LINE:
More than 150 people took to the streets on Monday in Pakistan administered Kashmir, burning an effigy of Pope Benedict XVI and demanding the pontiff apologise for his remarks on Islam.
Meanwhile another anti-Pope demonstration took place in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
The protests followed Benedict's apology on Sunday for referring last week to the words of a Byzantine emperor who characterised some of the teachings of Islam's Prophet Muhammad as "evil and inhuman."
On Sunday he said that he was "deeply sorry" for the anger caused and that the remarks came from a text that did not reflect his own opinion.
But Muslims continued on Monday to react with anger.
The leader of Monday's rally in Muzaffarabad said the Pope's comments were insufficient.
Uzair Ahmed, from the Kashmiri organisation Pasban-e-Hurriyat, urged the Pope to apologise properly as the pontiff had not admitted that what he said was wrong.
