Build in 1949 in Chrzanow locomotive factory in Poland, the narrow gauge steam locomotives 600 series celebrated their 70-th anniversary in Bulgaria in the autumn of 2019. Nowadays only one locomotive from the series is still in movement - 609.76. It was restored from the state passenger operator BDZ in 2004 and since then has been used for attraction trips on the 760mm narrow gauge line from Septemvri to Dobrinishte several times a year. The anniversary was celebrated with a trip with the steam locomotive from Septemvri to Velingrad on the 6-th of September, which is also the Unification Day of Bulgaria.
