Having My Free Beauty Makeup Makeover at The Body Shop, GRWM Tutorial Using Cruelty Free Cosmetics
I love watching makeup tutorials, cosmetics regimes and beauty routines at spa, salons and department stores, and Get Ready With Me YouTube videos, but there's nothing quite like experiencing a make over in person. When I found out at The Body Shop do free beauty makeovers and skin consultations with expert therapists / artists, I went straight in and booked myself in for a facial pamper session the next day, opting for a youthful natural look / style - nothing extreme! It would be perfect if you need some practice and advice for a prom, wedding or big night out.
The staff at this particular Body Shop were possibly some of the nicest people in the world, and the expert professional makeup artist who did my real makeover was just lovely. It should have taken around 30 minutes in total, but as the consultant didn't have any other 'clients' booked after me, she took her time and the whole makeover lasted around an hour. It was like a personal makeup tutorial lesson with a guru! I was so pleased that she explained what she was doing, with step by step instructions on how to recreate this natural look, using their range of cruelty free makeup products (The Body Shop doesn't believe in animal testing on their cosmetics in any shape or form).
The Body Shop store was spacious and they'd allocated a corner as their 'beauty salon' studio space, where I could comfortably sit and enjoy my pamper routine session and tutorial with the experienced pro makeup artist. She started out with a face cleanser, before moving onto primer, concealer and foundation (to hide my freckles). This was followed by cosmetic powder, bronzer and blush, to give my pale cheeks a bit of colour (no contour / highlight). Eye primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and nude lipstick completed the look. There was no obligation to purchase any of the products at the end of the facial beauty makeover routine, although I did treat myself to some of their cosmetics.
I learnt lots of easy makeup tips, advice and beauty hacks from my tutorial in The Body Shop and I can't recommend this beauty makeover routine more strongly - it was so subtle, understated and natural, not like a Barbie doll! Honestly, it was the best one that I have ever had, and I've had lots in department stores recently - as research! I hope you like my before and after look, and perhaps you've learnt a few beauty tips along the way. Thanks for checking out my YouTube channel.
