Over a dozen existing CSP culverts underneath Highway 407 and associated ramps had deteriorated. Rehabilitation of these distressed pipes was required. Large diameter HDPE pipes, ranging in sizes between 0.762m and 2.29m dia., were used to slipline inside the existing CSP pipes, resulting in a cost effective permanent solution. The highway and ramps were not compromised by open cutting for remove and replace construction. As well, traffic was not disrupted during the time of construction.
